The dental clinic is open to everyone although, the primary focus is on the youth of the inner city.

A dental therapist can provide routine dental care such as:

  • tooth brushing instruction
  • fluoride application
  • teeth cleaning
  • sealants (plastic coating applied on healthy molars to prevent cavities)
  • x-rays
  • fillings; silver & white
  • temporary fillings
  • stainless steel crowns on primary molars
  • pulpotomy on baby molars (root canal treatment)
  • tooth extractions
  • provide referral treatment

The above treatment can only be provided to a child with a signed consent form by a parent/guardian

Consent forms can be picked up at the WBYL Dental Clinic or selected schools.

There is no cost to you.

If your child has dental coverage through Social Services or is First Nations we will bill their dental plan. A limited number of clients that have no dental coverage will be eligibile to receive free services on a first come basis.

Currently our office has agreements to provide dental services to students in the following school's:

  • Pleasant Hill
  • St. Mary's
  • St. Michael's
  • Nutana Collegiate
  • Joe Duquette High School

This service includes transportation to and from appointments.

The Dental Clinic will be open Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 4:30pm.

About the therapist:

Chris Vandale is a Metis from Prince Albert. She has enjoyed 11 years of providing dental care to aboriginal children. She prides herself on treating each child with gentleness and understanding. Chris promises to provide your child with a positive dental experience.
